Is the trend for plastic surgery finally over?

Michael Jackson is apparently planning to give his look a revamp with even more plastic surgery in preparation for his comeback this summer. The popstar, who is due to start a run of 50 shows at London’s O2 Arena in July, has reportedly been in consultation with a number of surgeons and cosmetologists to work out his latest new look.

It’s not as if the international star hasn’t had enough surgery already, but it’s not really surprising to hear that he wants to go under the knife again. After all it’s one of the things he’s become most famous for. It would seem, though, that for the time being at least he will be in the minority. The slightly worrying trend towards a nip/tuck culture where people can just pop in for a nose job or breast enlargement procedure and no one bats an eyelid, appears to be coming to an end.

It could just be the recession meaning people don’t have the money to spare for expensive procedures, or it could be that people are starting to listen to the ever increasing list of horror stories related to cosmetic surgery. Whatever the cause, the fact remains that the number of cosmetic operations performed in the final three months of 2008 had dropped by at least 25 per cent.

This may be bad news for cosmetic surgeons but it’s great news for the beauty industry. Without the option to just get your body issues ‘fixed’ by going under the knife, people trying to retain their youthful looks are having to look elsewhere for an answer. And the only other answer is to always take proper care of yourself, your body and your skin.

Specialist cosmetic companies like NV Perricone and Elemis produce a huge selection of creams and moisturisers specifically designed to target problem areas and deal with common problems. These ‘cosmeceuticals’ combine cosmetic benefits with pharmaceutical ones. If you prefer something a bit more home-grown Aesop use botanical ingredients in their huge range of skincare products. Taking care of your skin and maintaining a healthy diet and exercise routine will mean that you can always look your best, without running the risk of ending up looking like Jacko.

Stop Snoring With These Five Easy Strategies

Snoring is a problem that is correlated with social and physical problems. There are many known triggers that can lead to snoring or worsen it. Here are 5 tips that can help you stop snoring.

Before we get started, it is important that you realize something about snoring. Like other health conditions, snoring doesn’t just happen to us without cause. In most cases, snoring is the result of the lifestyle we live. Quite simply, if you change your lifestyle, then the resulting medical condition will disappear. For example, I have a friend who is extremely overweight and has diabetes. He used to weight over 400 pounds. After about a {year|few years} of exercise and dieting, he has now lost over 100. So, 300 pounds is still heavy, but guess what? As a result of losing that 100 pounds, he doesn’t need to take diabetes medication anymore. Even though he is still overweigh, his diet and exercise had got him off the medication. These kinds of changes can stop your snoring, too.

Step One

First of all, you need to talk with a physician if you have been snoring for an extended amount of time. Snoring can be a result of a more serious problem, such as sleep apnea. Sleep apnea should be treated immediately so you need to be sure you are just suffering from typical snoring.

Step two

Soft pillows are more comfortable to most people, but they are bad for snorers. These types of pillows cause the body and throat relax. This then constricts airways and causes snoring.

Step Three

Sleeping with your head up higher can reduce snoring drastically. Use multiple pillows to get your head up higher.

Step Four

If you haven’t tried anti-snoring sprays yet, then give them a try. These don’t work for everyone but they might be for you.

Step Five

Refrain from taking sleeping pills or other kinds of pills the causes the body to relax. These pills will also cause your throat to relax and narrow breathing airways causing you to snore.

All these snoring treatments have been found useful by many. If natural rememdies don’t work for you, try some of the many snoring aids available.

Start using these tips now and you will certainly see a decrease in your snoring. It’s also very likely that one of these strategies will get at the root of your problem and stop your snoring completely.

So you have decided that hair restoration and hair transplants are for you. Well, that’s a breakthrough news but the worry is not whether you are fit because of issues of health but whether you are financially qualified for it. Are you ready to grab the altitude-high price of hair restoration? If you are very much concerned with your “shiny” problem, finances would not really pose as a “threat” or issue but anyhow, there are things you should need to know regarding a hair restoration clinic and how much it can cost when availing of its hair loss services.

Since the cost of hair restoration and hair transplants can vary wildly between the surgeons who perform this procedure, it is important to do your research to find out not only where you can get the best hair transplant but also where you can get the most and best bargain for this kind of remedy. There are some hair restoration clincis that charge per graft while there are others that charge per transplant session. There is also such variety in the amount of transplanted hairs that your surgeon will be able to graft at one time.

For example, on average, a single graft can range from 1-5 hairs. Hair transplant clinics also vary in what they can do since some clinics are capable of using 1000 grafts to replace any where between 1000 and 1500 grafts and yet another will be able to replace between 2000 to 4000 hairs. Yes, it’s strange but it’s true. That’s why, you have to find a hair restoration center that can really offer services in a not-so-expensive way. If you can only find the time to go from one place to another looking for the best you can choose, it would do good for you. But that’s the main problem. With so many of these hair restoration clinics sprouting like fresh flowers from under the snow, you will really have a hard time choosing one even within your area and /or within your budget. But there is always an answer to it. Have you tried to search for them online?
