Is Slim Fast Diet a Scam?

Any dieter can tell you that if you use more calories than you take in you will lose weight.  Many diets, like the Slim Fast Diet, follow this general principle — having a dieter eat less than they normally burn. Here’s a brief glimpse at the Slim fast diet.

We won’t know whether this slim fast diet works until we understand the basic principles behind it. Basically it relies on replacing two meals a day with the nutrition shake — in this case the Slim fast shake. The dieter can eat a sensible dinner, and can also eat two pieces of fruit and the Slim fast nutrition bar as snacks.  At 1200 calories each day this diet is about 500 down from an average female’s diet, and 1000 down from an average male’s diet.  Slim fast recommends exercising while on the diet, but even without that you’ll lose weightThere are a lot of exercise training programs that you can find online. Check out my Truth About Six Pack Abs review for more information on a popular workout program that works great for any goal, muscle building and/or fat loss.

A good diet is easy for people to follow, and the Slim fast diet is easy. If diet is too hard to maintain it will never work. another healthy aspect of the Slim fast diet is drinking a lot of water – 6 to 8 cups everyday.

The Slim fast diet is lacking in some of the vitamins, minerals and other necessary nutrients of a healthy diet. By replacing two meals, it’s easy to miss these things.  Unfortunately, many people on this diet also cut out that real meal. They want to lose weight even faster. But that’s a very bad idea because it’s far too few calories, and multiplies the problem of missing certain nutrients.

There’s a modified version of the Slim fast diet which includes drinking only one shake each day, and eating two regular meals. It’s a good, safe way to lose weight.

As long as you maintain a healthy amount of food, this diet can work for youThis is not the only diet out there that works. There is one program which shows you how to eat what you want without counting calories and still shows how to lose fat fast. Food And Sex Is Not A Fad Diet

The two absolute biggest things in our lives that we need and enjoy are food and sex. Some people might say that you don’t have to have sex, and others say there is no such thing as to much sex. But, the fact is that both physically and mentally we all need a certain amount sex.

Food, on the other hand, is both a pleasure and a necessity. We enjoy food so much that we overindulge and eat too much of the wrong things.

Have you noticed that everyone seems to be starting some new fad diet? Some of your friends are starting the South Beach Diet and another is starting the Fat Smash Diet, and someone else is still trying the Adkins Diet.

We try every new diet that hits the market – including the low-carb, no-carb, low-fat, no-fat, and even the grapefruit diet and they’re all just fad diets. And it goes on and on, one fad diet after another and the weight just goes up and down like a yo-yo.

The simple truth – The basic principal behind any diet is to eat less food and to eat food that contains fewer calories. Then your body is forced to use accumulated fat for the energy it needs, because it’s not getting it from the diet.

However, this is a problem with short-term fad diets, they also have to be tasty and nutritionally sound. Simply banning certain types of foods is not a solution. Anyone on a diet like that will eventually want those foods and they will probably relapse back into their old eating habits. What we see is the “yo-yo effect” in action, – again.

We should realize that there is no magic formula for losing weight for the long term. We just need to cut down on the intake of excess calories and start exercising (which helps burn body fat to lose the weight).

Healthy eating, low-calorie foods, fresh fruits and vegetables and regular physical activity are the effective ways to lose weight and keep it off.

Also, to help curb your appetite and maintain your weight, try a diet pill that has been medically approved, tested and endorsed by medical doctors. If you need help controlling your appetite, we recommend the appetite suppressant Proactol
The main thing is to keep a clear head and be honest with yourself. Keep everything steady and slow.

The rules make the fad diets work

September 29, 2008 by TreadmillsCenter · Leave a Comment

There is sensible weight loss dieting and then there are mad fad diets. The mainstream diets point you to sensible eating and a pound by pound weight reduction over a long time frame. The fad diets do not offer a steady weight loss. They promise large reduction in weight in a matter of weeks.

It seems impossible for these very low calorie diets to work? They claim great things but you must know that they are not based on normal food and ideas. I know this because I have lost 5 stones in a space of just 15 weeks on one of these diets.

I know just why I was so successful and why you should consider looking at this. The main reason is the rules that you have to follow.

Fad diets have very strict rules that you have to follow. They are so simply even a guy can make sense of them. They give you a meal plan that says “this is what you can eat” It is very limited and usually quite boring but you know that if you stick to the diet rules you will lose the weight.

Standard diets by contrast allow you a huge range of food options but this is where the rules get confusing. You are so busy counting points and calories that you do not know quite what you are allowed to eat and when.

You can see that the simplicity of the diet rules help you on this type of program. But of course then the question is can you stick to the diet rules you are given. The rules that you do have are in a way much harder to stick to but you also expect to be hungry on this type of diet so you expect this. It creates a sort of virtuous circle of thought processes that give you more resolve.

Rules for diets are what make them work. I just like the simple and easy to follow rules of mad fad diets.
